A new chapter in

women-centered

development.

We are created to tackle the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs who often encounter fragmented support and limited access to funding and resources.

Backed by the Premier and the provincial government, KZNWAF leverages a multi-sector partnership ecosystem to break down these barriers and build a robust system that supports women-led innovation at scale.

Our mandate and origin,
born from collaboration

August 24

Premier Ntuli announces the launch of KZNWAF.
Addressing challenges
KZNWAF was created to address a clear challenge: too many women with powerful ideas and entrepreneurial spirit face barriers due to fragmented support and limited access to funding and resources.
Partnership ecosystem
With formal backing from the Premier and the provincial government, and through a multi-sector partnership ecosystem, KZNWAF is designed to break down these barriers and build a system that supports women-led innovation at scale.

A vision rooted in scale and inclusion

Over 3,000 women from across KwaZulu-Natal have already responded to our call — sharing powerful business ideas, community-led innovations, and development solutions, across sectors and areas.

Their submissions make one thing clear: the appetite for impact is enormous, but
without structured support and scalable coordination, too many good ideas remain just out of reach.
